Donald L. Nurczyk

Donald L. Nurczyk, age 63, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Donald is survived by his two loving children, Leighann (Steve) Sykes and Adam Nurczyk; granddaughter, Ava Sykes; longtime girlfriend, Carrie Depratt; mother, Geraldine Nurczyk; brothers, Delmar Miller, John (Nancy) Nurczyk and Robert (Gwen) Nurczyk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father John Nurczyk.

Don was born and raised in Joliet. He was in the Bricklayers Union for 10 years. He then went on to work at Fermi Lab for 35 plus years. He was a member at Five Star Fitness. Don was an avid Chicago White Sox fan; however he was a closet Cubs fan as well. He enjoyed watching movies and having a cold beer. He loved to play golf, and enjoyed harassing his family and friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.

A celebration of Donald’s life will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet. Per Donald’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.
