Dolores was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. She attended St. Joseph Grade School, Joliet Central High School and Joliet School of Beauty. She was a member of KSKJ Lodge 29, Slovenian Union of America, St. Joseph Seniors and Joliet Seniors Association. Dolores was a licensed beautician for over 50 years working from her home beauty shop as well as Tezak Funeral Home and Kurtz Memorial Chapel. Dolores was famous for her cheese and nut potica, crocheted snowflakes, hand painted ceramics and her love inspired cooking skills that were passed on to her family. One of her greatest joys was her travels with Alie and their gang, including their beloved Point Breeze. Grandma Honey helped to positively influence three generations of family. Memories of treats, hugs and backrubs will never be forgotten. We take comfort in knowing that you will continue to shake the beads for all of us.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to her friend and caregiver, Debi Spesia as well as Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Donations in Dolores’ name to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
