Dolores S. (Mrozek)) Livingston

Dolores S. Livingston (nee Mrozek), age 87, passed away peacefully at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center on Monday, April 24, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Dolores is survived by her dear son, Don (Laura) Livingston; caring niece, Liz (Frank) Redey; nephews, Jim (Tina) Mrozek, Mike (April) Mrozek; loving grandchildren, Max, Jake, Logan, Courtney, Alyssa, Grace, Michael, Samantha and Angela.

Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Livingston; parents, Leo and Bernice Mrozek; siblings, Leo Mrozek, Stanley Mrozek, Robert Mrozek, Sylvia Carboni, James Mrozek and Dennis Mrozek.

Dolores, known by many as Auntie, raised her family in Downers Grove, but lived most of her life in the Joliet area. She was a caring and loving mother to her son, a loving mother figure to her niece and two nephews who she raised as her own, and a loving grandmother. Dolores had many close, supportive friends and whether spending time with her family, playing cards or bingo with her group, or simply sitting and chatting, Dolores truly enjoyed life. She was loved by all who knew her .

A celebration of Dolores’ life will begin on Monday, May 1, 2017 with a prayer service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois.
