Dolores G. (Bostjancic) Krzysciak

Dolores Krzysciak (nee Bostjancic), age 88, lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Angels with her loving family by her side on Friday, April 20, 2018.

Born March 5, 1930 in Joliet; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (nee Dovgan) Bostjancic. She married John Krzysciak in 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2011 after 53 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Charles) Klein; brothers, Edward Bostjancic, Frank (Bernie) Bostjancic, John (Joan) Bostjancic and David in infancy.

Surviving are her three children, Daniel, Robert (Colleen) and Judy (Phil) Stewart; her eight grandchildren, Christopher, Marisa, Laurel, Maria, Erek, Mallory, Henry and Sophie; her twin sister, Dorothy Surman and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Dolores was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School, Joliet and Providence High School, Joliet. Dolores was active in Slovenian Women’s Union, St. Genevieve Society, St. Joseph Choir and KSKJ. She enjoyed her trips to Slovenia, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and sewing. Most of all, she cherished her time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the loving and caring staff at OLA and Joliet Area Community Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores’ name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Dolores’ life will begin on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 with a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.

There will be no services held at the funeral home.
