Dolores F. Kapella
Age 92 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.
Born October 16, 1928 in Joliet, Dolores was a daughter of Jacob and Antonio (Lesh) Paskvan. Dolores was a very prayerful woman and deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. She attended Mass daily for years and then when she couldn’t attend in person she continued to celebrate Mass at home on her television. She prayed all day long.
In her free time, Dolores loved doing puzzles and crocheting. Her most treasured times were always spent with her family. Dolores loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. They always brought a big smile to her face. Dolores will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dolores is survived by her children: Coleen (Mark) Ferry, Arthur Kapella (Ann Kapella Zorns), and Cathleen (Thomas) Anzelc; grandchildren: Lauren (Terry) Mack, Elizabeth Kapella, Matthew (JoLynn) Anzelc and Phillip Anzelc; great-grandson: Joseph Anzelc; sister-in-law: Nancy (the late Raymond) Mutz and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, Jolene Chamblee, who was like a daughter to Dolores, was a great companion and shopping buddy for years.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jacob and Antonio; husband: Arthur Kapella, Sr., and siblings: Jacob (Bess) Paskvan, Joseph (Antonio) Paskvan, Victoria Snyder, Mary Paskvan, Josephine (Frank) Semplinski, and Roseanne (George) Glad.
Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. until time of closing prayers beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. Following closing prayers, the funeral will process to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2500 Arbeiter Rd, Joliet, IL 60431) for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow and Dolores will be laid to rest next to her husband Arthur in St. Mary Nativity Catholic Cemetery.
