Dolores traveled ed to many parts of the country and the world seeing some of the most beautiful sights and cultures the Earth has to offer. Dolores was a strong, independent, loving, and tenacious person. She kept her beautiful smile and her humor until the very end, only her body faltered. Over the past week, she was having health complications, but to her family she was still as full of life as she ever was. She spoke so vibrantly and remained the sharpest person in the room. Things that Dolores will greatly miss include, tending to her garden and her beautiful flowers, completing crossword puzzles, and traveling the world. One thing that everyone else will miss are her delicious chocolate chip cookies, the secret recipe of which she may or may not have taken with her. Dolores will be greatly missed by her loving children, cherished grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations in Dolores’ name to Autism Science Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
The family extends special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Loyola University Medical Center and Presence St. Joseph Medical Center for the excellent care provided.
A Celebration of Dolores’ life will begin on Monday, October 17, 2016 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends to meet at the church.
