Diane Marie Sanders

Age 58, passed away at home on Friday, March 13th 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her parents, Alvin and Margaret (Mlakar) Attaway; beloved husband, Leslie Sanders; two daughters, Tana and Shannon (Walter) Marquardt; one step-son, Shane (Nichole) Sanders; two sisters, Peggy (Bradley) Gilbert and Patty (Donald) Kroesch; and three grandchildren; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Diane was a longtime employee of Troy Community Consolidated School District and volunteer at the Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park. A special thanks to all of her co-workers for their enormous support during her illness.
Services will be held Saturday, March 21st at 12:00 pm at St. Bernard's Catholic Church at 1301 Sterling Avenue in Joliet. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University or Joliet Area Community Hospice are appreciated. At Diane's request, cremation rites were accorded.
