Diane J. Platt (nee Hibler), age 48, entered the eternal life of peace on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Wife of, John Platt; daughter of, Gene and Anna Mae Hibler; beloved mother of, Marissa Platt; devoted sister of Glenn (Donna) Hibler and Kelly (Doug) Mann; daughter-in-law of, John (Ruth) Platt; sister-in-law of, Tom (Anna), Terry (Karen) and David (Michelle) Platt; proud aunt of, Alex Mann, Grace Hibler, Steve Platt, Jennifer Dimmitt, Alan Platt, Amy McNeff, Kevin Platt, Tristan Hibler and Noah Hibler. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by her mother, Judith Osborne; grandparents, Elmer (Velma) Hibler, Frank (Anna) Panian and Bill (Alberta) Osborne; one uncle, Frank Panian; and one Cousin, Steve Panian.

Diane was born and raised in Joliet, IL area. She graduated from Providence High School Class of 1984 and the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree. Diane served as a trustee on the Plainfield Library Board. After receiving a degree in biology, Diane's career focused on providing analytical medical equipment to the medical industry. Diane took great pride in the recent admittance of her daughter into the University of Illinois.

A celebration of Diane's life will begin on Saturday, April 18, 2015 meeting at the Church of St. Anthony, 100 N Scott St, Joliet, IL 60432 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Michael Valente officiating. Inurnment to follow at SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Per Diane's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
