Delores M. (Hausser) Tomac
March 10, 1933 — April 15, 2016
Delores Tomac (nee Hausser), born March 10, 1933 passed away at age 83, Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet with her family by her side.
Delores was a lifelong resident of Crest Hill/Joliet. She retired from Chaney Monge School in 1992 after 20 years of service. She loved singing in the St Anne’s church choir and always had a kind word for anyone she met.
She was a devoted mother of four loving sons to whom she passed on her traits of honesty and sincerity. She enjoyed cheering them on in all of their sporting events as well as spending time reading with all of her grandchildren. She became a dedicated St Louis Cardinal fan watching them on TV faithfully every season.
Survived by her loving husband Frank of 60 years; her children, Frank Jr. (Cindy) Tomac, Ray (Darla) Tomac, Andy (Mary Fran) Tomac, and Ed (Francine) Tomac; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Alyssa (Paolo) Vinzon, Bryan, Lauren, Blake and Sean Tomac; sisters-in-law, Donna Hausser and Bernadine (Bernie) Gerl.
Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Mary (nee McGann) Hausser, brothers Ed Hausser, Dick (Dorothy) Hausser, Don (Irma) Hausser, sisters Carol (Pete) Smith, Eileen Hausser and nephew Mark Smith.
We would like to thank the thoughtful and attentive staff who cared for mom; Mary Ann from Community Care, Judy from Catholic Charities, the staff at Willow Falls, the nurses on the 5th floor West Wing of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center and Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A celebration of Delores’ life will begin on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
