Delores A. (Raspolich) LaBerry

Delores A. (nee Raspolich) LaBerry, age 87, at rest peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018 with her loving children by her side.

Loving mother to Karen (Timothy) Baker of Joliet and Robert (Kimberly-Deceased) LaBerry of New Lenox.  Grandmother to Matthew (Jennifer) Baker, Kristin (Michael) Bradley, Megan (Ryan Simonich) Baker, and Daniel and Thomas LaBerry.  Great Grandmother to Alana, Jonah, Mikayla, and Emilia Bradley; Tyler, Nora, Addison, and Jake Baker; two step great grand-daughters, Sara and Kate Simonich.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Roy R. LaBerry;  Her parents John and Josephine Raspolich; siblings, John (Clara) Raspolich, Josephine (Willard) Brown, Edward Raspolich, Rudolph Sr. (Beverly) Raspolich.  Also preceded by her loving daughter-in-law, Kimberly LaBerry.

Delores was born on May 24, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Joliet. She loved her family and found joy in the simple things in life.  She always shared a warm smile and kind words to everyone she met.  She enjoyed attending church at St. Mary Nativity, picnics at St. Joe’s Park, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed her longtime employment at Our Lady of Angels where she worked for 30 years.  Delores loved feeding everyone who came to her home and afterwards, filling them with her famous Pizzelles.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Angels and Rainbow Hospice for their excellent care of Delores during her stay.

A celebration of Delores’ life will begin on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m., then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
