Della Amiot (nee Collette)
Born in Clifton, Illinois on December 16, 1914. Died in Joliet, August 2, 2010 at the age of 95 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Preceded in death by her husband Leon Amiot, daughters Carol Tatro, Jacquelyn (William) Ziegle, Theresa Chovan and grandson Eric Weikum. Mother of James Amiot of Joliet, William (late Doris) Amiot, Kississimee, Florida, Sandra (Geno) Altiery of Braidwood, and Collette (George) Weikum of Naperville, brother-in-law Ron Chovan. Seven grandchildren, eighteen grand children and twenty eight great grand children. Memorials to the Damiano Unit at Provena Villa Franciscan.
A Celebration of Della Amiot"s life will be held on Thursday August 5, 2010 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:00 AM, then in procession to Cathedral of St. Raymond Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
