Delia Garcia

Delia Garcia (nee Borrego), age 55, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Delia is survived by her loving husband, Raful Garcia; children, Alina, Daniel (Shannon) Garcia; mother, Ines Borrego (nee Martinez); siblings, Yolanda Borrego, Nancy Nunez and family, Frank Jr. and family, Linda Aguirre and family; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and godchildren; faithful furry companion, Sadie; and grand dogs, Honey and Dog

Preceded in death by her father, Francisco Borrego Sr.; brother, Victor Borrego; and one brother in infancy.

Delia was a loving mother of two and a devoted wife. She was raised in Joliet, IL and graduated from Joliet Central High School. Delia was a faithful parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet and was a dedicated supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She will be remembered as a selfless, caring, loving woman who touched countless lives and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Delia's name to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.

The family invites relatives and friends to gather at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet on Saturday, March 7, 2015 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Per Delia's wishes cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no funeral home visitation or services.
