Debbie Gunter

Debra Ann Gunter (nee Pelton), Age 57, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, March 13, 2014 with her loving family by her side.

Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Earl Carl Gunter; loving children Jason Gunter and Nicole Harris (nee Gunter); sister, Tina Castillo; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Hank" and Annabelle (nee Johnson) Pelton; brother, Michael L. Pelton;great-nephew, Keith Michael "Buzzy" Pelton; nephew, Shawn Gunter; and niece, Heather Gunter.

Debbie was an avid Bingo player and loved taking trips to the casino. She enjoyed reading books and watching classical movies, especially Westerns and Musicals. Debbie enjoyed family gatherings spent around the dinner table to share good meals, conversation, and a great game of UNO. For Christmas, Debbie was in charge of baking her delicious cookies and cakes for family and friends. God blessed us with the best wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend that we could have asked for.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.

Funeral Services for Debbie will begin on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 with a Visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435. Per Debbie's wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
