Age 57, at rest on Monday, December 17, 2007 with his family by his side.
Survived by his loving wife Lynn (nee Kelsven) Salopek; sons Michael (Nicole), David John and Paul Salopek; step-children Troy (Chris), Todd (Traci) Ritsema, Kelli (Kenny) Schuler, Jodee (David) Asplund; grandchildren Shelby, Emma, Owen, Drew, Luke, Sam, Mina, Halle, Reese, Ethan, Kaylie and Alexis; sisters Judy (Jerry) Miglorini and Joan (Jerry) Mudrock. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents John and Josephine (nee Brelich) Salopek; brothers Fred and John (Patti) Salopek.
Retired from the Will County Carpenters Local #174 after 20+ years of service. In lieu of flowers donations in David"s name to the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern or to Grace Pointe Church in Naperville, Il. would be appreciated.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Grace Pointe Church in Naperville, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1-8 PM.
