David G. Laurich

Age 53, at rest Monday September 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Lynn M. (nee Nosse) Laurich, loving father of Daughters Michelle (Jason) Hines and Melissa Laurich and son David Laurich, dearest grandfather of Matthew David Hines, one brother Don (Denise) Laurich, one niece Lexie Laurich, brothers-in-law Wayne Nosse and Gary (Mary) Nosse and one nephew Michael Nosse, one uncle Richard (Connie) Kaveney, best friend Rick Vironda also numerous cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Marilyn (nee Kaveney) Laurich. David was born in Joliet and a life long resident. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School, Joliet Catholic High School, Silver Cross Paramedic Program, Joliet Junior College Nursing Program, worked his entire life in the health care field. He earned many certifications including ERCN, ACLS, PALS and was also EMS coordinator and instructor. Also was an instructor of multiple advanced nursing certifications. He was a member of the LaGrange, LaGrange Park and Western Springs Fire Departments. Worked for Superior, Gaynor, Geradi and Arnold and Kaiser Ambulance services. Was a nurse for Bolingbrook Adventist, Silver Cross, Chicagoland Speedway, and Provena St. Joseph Medical Center where he received the Frank C. Bender M.D. award employee of the year. Member of the Moran A.C.. Dave loved his family vacations, playing cards, gambling, and Joliet Catholic High School football games. Dave said,"" No dream is too high. If you feel you want to do something, pursue it ""A�?? even if it takes you 10 years."" At David"s request cremation rites will be accorded following the church services.

A Celebration of David G. Laurich"s life will be held on Saturday with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, then in procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 - 8 PM.
