David was born and raised in Joliet; he was a devoted husband and father who built his own home in Joliet where he raised his family. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. David retired from IBM after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a devout Catholic and 58 year parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet. Some of his greatest joys were being at home with his family, caring for his dogs and all animals he had the chance to meet, building and repairing computers and donating to numerous charities to help others less fortunate than him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of the nurses and staff at Joliet Area Community Hospice for all of their excellent care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
A celebration of David’s life will begin on Friday, January 19, 2018 with a visitation at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
