David A. Ciosek, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 11, 2021.
David is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee Centanni); three daughters, Tara Marie Ciosek, Nicole Ann Ciosek and Kimberly Rose Ciosek; grandchildren, Jason Jordan Ciosek, Autumn Rose Ciosek and Jaxson Lee Ciosek; siblings, Kenneth Ciosek, Anna (Jerry) Simpson, Paul Ciosek and Ruth (Robert) Mahler; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Theresa Ciosek.
David was a proud United States Army Veteran serving two tours during the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW Cantigny Post #367 and the American Legion Post #2910. He was a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood. David retired from the IHB Railroad after 40 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, grilling (with an ice cold beer) and anything that brought him outdoors. David’s grandchildren were the light of his life and he cherished every moment with them. He will be forever missed.

Visitation for David will be held privately. The family invites relatives and friends to join them on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions maximum occupancy at the church will be 50 guests. Face masks are required.
