Daniel D. Kobe

June 3, 1938 — October 12, 2018

Daniel D. Kobe passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, at the age of 80 years old.

Daniel is survived by his caring brothers, Nick (Pat) Kobe and Ben Kobe; adored girlfriend and loving caretaker, Diana Pasdertz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Kobe (2002); parents, Nick and Frances Kobe; and sister, Frances Kobe.

Daniel was born and raised in Joliet, IL.  He attended Lockport Township High School and Roosevelt University, where he graduated with a degree in Music Education. After finishing college, Daniel served honorably in the United States Army. Following his discharge, he went on to become the band director at Troy Grade School where he proudly taught for 30 years. Daniel was also an enthusiast of classic antique cars and loved to take his Harley out on the open road. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Daniel’s life will begin on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, IL.
