Daniel Brandolino

September 6, 1940 — June 13, 2012

Daniel Brandolino, 71, died June 13 in Mesa, AZ. A lifelong resident of the Joliet area. He was eldest of four sons of Rocco and Concetta. Graduate of JTHS, 1958. Honorable veteran of US Army. Employed by ComEd for 27 years, working at Station 9, Dresden, PTC, and continued as a consultant to the power utility industry for several more years as well as Project Manager for Chevron. 1964 married Frances and was an inspirational father to Daniel (Betty), David (Candice) and Rebecca (Daniel) Scherr, Dan is an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church and very devout follower of Jesus Christ. Three times elected to the District 88A School Board. Active member of American Italian Cultural Society and American Legion Post 1080. Had a passion for living life to its fullest, and was always the first to help. He loved to golf, fish, play bocce, and tinker in his spare time. Dan is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Fran; his children; three brothers Gene (Ginny), Jerry (Judy), Tom (Sue); 7 grandchildren; numerous nieces/nephews and the players at A�??BrandolinoA�??s CourtA�?i�� in Mesa. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Italian Cultural Society and/or Joliet Area Hospice.

Funeral services for Daniel Brandolino will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 21, 2012 with family and friends meeting at Messiah Lutheran Church, 19901 Houbolt Road Joliet, IL 60431. There will be no procession from the funeral home to the church. Interment service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood to be announced. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20th from 2:00pm to 8:00 pm.
