Damien is survived by his mother, Marsha "Cookie" Ann Miller (nee Kuriger); loving father, Stacy (Clivanna) Miller; dear brother and sister, Stacy (fiance Terri Rochell) Miller and Tiffany (Donald) Daverin (nee Miller); loving nieces and nephews, Jet Miller, Mercede, Jake, Diamond, Gabriel, and Xander Sohol; best companion, Felony; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his dearest uncle, Roy Kuriger; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Ann Kuriger (nee Radokovich); paternal grandparents, Horace Miller and Dynita Mikula (nee Vincent); and loving uncle and aunt, Henry "Bookie" and Jane Book (nee Ashby).
Damien was born in Joliet, Illinois, grew up in Plainfield, Illinois, and was a graduate of Plainfield High School. Damien was a sports fanatic; he took part in numerous fantasy sports leagues, and he aspired to become a sports columnist or coach. He also loved to write and draw in his free time. Damien loved spending time with his nieces and nephews as he was very family oriented; his motto was "family first." Damien was known as a "giant teddy bear" to all who knew him because of his genuinely affectionate personality and the constant smile on his face. He was always eager to help anyone in need.
Funeral Services for Damien will begin Friday, March 13, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. with procession to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Joliet for a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. with a Pomen Service at 7:00 p.m.
