Dale J. Gorman

Dale J. Gorman, 83, a resident of Rockford and native of Joliet passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.

Dale served faithfully in the United States Army. He will be remembered as an animal enthusiast who was the caretaker of numerous birds in the building where he resided in Rockford. There was never a dog who Dale didn’t’ befriend or shower with treats.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Violet Gorman: one sister, Lynn Epley and one brother Larry.

Loving father of Tom (Brenda) Gorman and Lori: grandfather of Stacy Gorman (Kenny Doxsie) and Haleigh (Dominic) Muscatella. Dale is aslo survived by his dear sister Janice Wrye. He will be deeply missed.

Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am with the funeral procession departing after the service for interment services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL for a 1:00 pm services with honors.
