Age 41. Passed away suddenly Saturday November 12, 2011. Cynthia was born in Joliet and attended St. Joseph Grade School. She graduated Joliet Central High School in 1988. She also graduated from Everest College in San Antonio in 2010. Cynthia was a loyal employee at Nix Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She was a devoted mother, and wife. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Albert Mendez; 4 loving children, Andrew, Michael, Alexis, and Nicolina Mendez, her mother, Patricia (Archie) Brown; her special mother, Nancy (late Ralph) Blowers; a brother, Tony (Cheryl) Blowers; a nephew, Brett Anthony Blowers; and a special aunt, Sue Platts. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by a son, Stephen (in infancy); her father Ralph E. Blowers; a brother Randy Blowers; her in-laws Nicolina and Joseph Mendez; paternal grandparents, Edmund and Delores (nee Pasdertz) Blowers, her maternal grandparents, Peter and Ivy Zanier.

Funeral services for Cynthia Ann Mendez will be Saturday November 19, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 p.m.
