Cynthia K. Blackburn (nee Mutz) ""Cindy"" Age 54, passed away peacefully, Tuesday July 13, 2010 following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was supported and loved by a large circle of family, friends and Joliet Area Community Hospice staff. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, John P. Blackburn, loving mother of John (Kimmi) and Mark (Janet) Blackburn, dearest grandmother of Rylee, Nolan, Joey and Jordan, her father Bernard (late Margaret) Mutz, one sister Nancy (Craig) Tuntland, one brother Ben Mutz, also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her mother Margaret Mutz and one niece Kaysha. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. A Celebration of Cindy"s life will be held on Saturday July 17, 2010 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, then in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3- 8 PM.
