Cory Patrick Malloy

Cory Patrick Malloy, age 36, of Crest Hill, passed away suddenly on May 8, 2013. Born in Joliet on September 21, 1976 he was a graduate of Minooka Community High School and was an electrician with IBEW Local #176.

Cory is survived by his devoted wife Erin (nee Burian) Malloy; his beloved children Natalie and Austin Malloy; his loving parents Dennis (Joyce) Malloy and Darlene (Michael) Lake; his brothers Craig (Susan) Malloy, Dave (Chris) Gossar, Thomas (Marcey) Lake and Joseph Lake; his sisters Nana (Mike) Dukeman and Kinderline Lake; maternal grandfather Walter Hentsch; mother-in-law Anita Burian and father-in-law Ken Burian; sister-in-law Heather (Miguel) Ballesteros and brother-in-law Shaun (Liz) Burian; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William and Betty Jane Malloy and his maternal grandmother Dorothy Hentsch.

Cory enjoyed playing the guitar and had a passion for music. He loved the outdoors, fishing, grilling out and playing with his children. Cory was a beloved husband and a loving father and he will truly be missed.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Cory's life will begin on Monday, May 13, 2013 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Theodore Street Lutheran Church 1603 N. Prairie Avenue Crest Hill, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet.
