Corey M. Condon

Corey M. Condon passed away peacefully at his home on February 26, 2014 at the age of 61 with his family and close friends by his side.

Corey, or as most new him, Papa, was born in Joliet and was raised in Shorewood. He attended St. Jude Catholic School Joliet, Troy Middle School, and Joliet West High School.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Toni Condon (nee Spota); his brother, Roland (Beverly) Condon; his children, Colleen Lee, Carey (Cary) Clark, Katie (Jim) Jones, Cori Shea Freckelton, and Leigh Condon; his grandchildren, Abigail (Dan) Eberhard, Jacob (Breiann Beaudry) Lee, Victoria (Shane) Schomig, Christine and Carley Clark, Lily Condon, Miguel Olvera, Grace Condon-Brady, Troy and Shea Freckelton, Lucy Barrett, and Nathaniel and Nolan Jones; his great-grandchildren, Ashley, Chloe and Isabelle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beverly (nee Smith) Condon; his brothers, Keith and Kurt Condon and his granddaughters, Emily and Elaine Jones.

Corey was a member of IBEW local 176 for 30 years and worked as a sign installer.

A Celebration of Corey's life will begin on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435, Father James Lennon officiating.
