Age 83. At rest Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet. Survived by his brothers, Joseph, Bernard (late Marge) and Richard (late Coke) Mutz; a sister-in-law, Phyllis (late Raymond) Mutz. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Mutz; and his parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Gregorash) Mutz. Clarence was born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. He retired from U.S. Steel after 40 years of service, and was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. As per Clarence's final wishes, Cremation Rites were accorded. The family of Clarence W. Mutz would like to extend a special thank you to Joliet Area Community Hospice Nurses, Susan Schnuckel and Terry Gallagher and also to Karen Sorbero, Sheri Smith, Carol Dillon and Karen Zolecki.
