Age 95, at rest Wednesday June 10, 2009 at the Joliet Hospice Home.
Mother of Joanne McKenney and James (Mary Ann) Popek, dearest grandmother of Elizabeth McKenney, Michelle (Todd) Mecke and Jacob Popek also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by husband William Popek, son Thomas Popek, grandson Michael McKenney, parents Stanley and Victoria (nee Sarnicki) Duda, one sister Camilla Duda, two brothers Frank and Fabian Duda. Clara was born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. She was the bookkeeper for Silver Fross Drive-in and W. and A. Inc. . She was a member of KSKJ and Polish Womens Alliance. Donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL. 60436 would be appreciated.
At the request of Clara C. Popek, private funeral services were held on Friday. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
