Christina Patino
Age 77 of Joliet, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her home.
Born September 19, 1943, in Rincon de Tamayo, Guanajuato, Mexico, Christina was a daughter of Melchor and Francisca (Martinez) Mancera. In 1966, Christina married Arnulfo Patino and shortly thereafter they moved to Arizona and then in 1973 to Joliet. Together they made their home and raised their family. Christina was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Joliet. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Her main focus was raising her daughters and taking care of the home. In 2000 she took a job with Trinity Services and remained with them for 16 years until retiring in 2016. Her most treasured times were spent with her grandkids. Christina will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters: Norma Burns and Christina Patino; grandchildren: Connor and Nolan Burns; sisters: Virginia and Imelda, and brothers: Jose Luis and Melchor.
Christina is preceded in death by her parents: Melchor and Francisca; husband: Arnulfo who passed away in 2000, as well as numerous siblings.
Per Christina’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 205 E. Jackson Street in Joliet. Guest are encouraged to arrive early to register for mass. Masks and social distancing practices are required.
Christina will be laid to rest with her late husband in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Joliet at a later date.
