Charles T. "Charlie" Swanson IV

Charles “Charlie” Theodore Swanson IV, born on July 11, 1988, passed away unexpectedly June 15, 2018.

Continuing to cherish his memories, Father, Charles Theodore Swanson III and Mother, Catherine (Sraj) Swanson; Sons, Charles Theodore Swanson V (CT) and Camden Lee Swanson; Sister, SamanthaJo (Anthony Alonzo) Swanson; Fianceé, Samantha Chase; Grandma, Roberta Barney; Aunt, Terri (Sinnette) Spencer and Uncle, Wayne (Bo) Swanson; Cousins, Brandy (Kim) McSherry and Sabrina McSherry; Niece and Nephews, Allyssa DeWitt, Jason, Aiden, and Landon Alonzo; Grandfather, Charles Theodore Swanson II; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, In-laws, Friends, and Friends that became family.

Preceded in death by his Brother, Jason Sraj; Grandfather, Anthony Sraj; Grandmother, Sophie Sraj; Godmother, Sandy Welsh; Father-In-Law, Greg McKeon; Grandfather, Jack Barney; and close Family Friend, Edward Guardiola.

Born in Joliet, IL, Charlie loved spending time with his boys and took great pride in being called Daddy.  As a lifelong lover of Chicago sports, Charlie was blessed to celebrate a Chicago Cubs Championship.  He will always be remembered as a devoted father and partner, loyal son and brother, caring friend always willing to help, and someone who could make anyone laugh.  He will be dearly missed by many, many people.

A celebration of Charles’ life will begin on Friday, June 22, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Charles will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet) from 2:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. Words of remembrance will begin at 7:00 p.m.
