""Red"" Age 87 Born May 19, 1922, at rest June 19, 2009. Born in Wheeler, Mississippi. Served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Louisiana before enlisting in the U.S. Army in October 1941. He served with honor during World War II in North Africa. Red was employed by Blockson (Olin) Chemical working as a plant operator. After 33 year of loyal service he retired in 1985. He spent his retirement years solving the problems of the world with his fellow Blockson retirees and his friends at the Jefferson Street McDonalds. Red is survived by his wife of 62 years Rosie, two sons Chuck (Ruth) Morrow of Pepin, Wisconsin and Mike (Debra) Morrow of Joliet, Illinois. He is also survived by two grandchildren Erin (Conor) Burke and Terry (Amy) Morrow. During the past 19 months Red was able spend many happy moments with his Great-Grandson Charlie Burke. Red grew up in a family of 9 living in Jonesboro, Louisiana and is survived by one remaining Brother, Jack and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed for many things; his chicken and dumplings, homemade biscuits, never ending domino games, but most of all for his sense of humor and love of family. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
Where a chapel service will be held Tuesday at 6:000 PM Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 PM until time of service. The family will meet relatives and friends Wednesday at 10:00 AM For Inurnment service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery
