Born November 1, 1913. Age 93. Passed Away Saturday October 6, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. Preceded in death by his wife, Mayme (Juban); first wife Mary (Lobas); father, Anthony; and mother, Ann (Pasternak); three brothers; two sisters; three half-sisters; and one half-brother.

Survived by his children, Marlene (Robert) Kozlowski of Addison IL., Charles (Ann) of Morris, IL., and Joan (Ronald) Sarff of Springfield, IL.; grandchildren, Lt. Col (USAF) Jodine Sam Tooke, Jeffery (Debbie) Kozlowski, Ryan (Alison) and Jennifer. Great-grandchildren, Michael and Annabelle; and his sister Mary in California; numerous nieces and nephews.

Worked at US Steel for 45 years retiring in 1975. Member of St Joseph Holy Name Society, Joliet Rivals Club, Old Timers Baseball, St. Joseph Senior Citizens, CIO Soar, Usher at St. Joseph Church for over 30 years.

Family wanted to give thanks to Dr. Ciechna and Shannel for there early help with Charles. Special thanks to the staff at Provena Villa Franciscan from House Keeping, Maintenance, Laundry, Activities and Medical Staff and to Dr. Kabbani for his guidance at the end of Charles life.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

From were services will be held Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 10:30 am to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 9:00 AM until time of service.
