Charles R. Bruno

Charles R. Bruno, age 81 of Plainfield Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.

Charles was born on January 15th in Joliet and was a son of Charles P. and Elaine (nee Rhodes) Bruno. He dedicated over 30 years and retired as a machine operator from Caterpillar. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years: Carolyn (nee Vogt) Bruno; sons: Ron (Lisa) Bruno and Ray Bruno; grandson: Kevin (Megan) Bruno and great-granddaughter: Hailey Ann Bruno. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters and numerous friends.

Per Charles’ wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A graveside service will be held at a later date and Chuck will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.

The family would like to thank the entire Lightways Hospice Staff for the wonderful care provided to Charles during these last few months.
