Smith, Charlene (Tonkovich) age 72 years passed away at home surrounded by her family on Jan 6, 2013. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret (Meres) Tonkovich, her husband Riley (Smitty) Smith and one brother John Tonkovich Jr. Survived by 5 sons, Kenny (Robin) Smith, David (Kathy) Smith, Allen (Kathy) Smith, Kevin (Tracy) Smith and Andy (Stephanie) Smith and one daughter Debbie (Doug) Smith and one sister, Jacqueline (Mike) Garcia.
33 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charlene was a lifelong resident of Ridgewood and worked at Joliet Washer Works in Rockdale for many years. She was a life member of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 9:15am from Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd., to St. Bernard's Church for a 10am Mass. Cremation to follow according to her wishes.
Visitation Friday 3pm to 7pm
