Celia Kren

November 18, 1925 — January 18, 2015

Celia Kren (nee Starcevich), 89, most recently of Lisle, passed away January 18, 2014, at Central DuPage Hospital. Survived by her son, Barry (Diane); daughter and best friend, Sue (Kelley Neal); in-laws, Lillian Starcevich, JoAnne Starcevich, Rome Kren, Marge Kren and Sally Kren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded by her parents, John and Anne (nee Putrich); brothers, Tony and George; sister, Catherine Senffner; son, Bruce as well as former husband, Bernard and various other relatives.
Special to Celia were her three grandchildren, Tracey (Matthew) Kelly, Amy (Trevor) Sula, and Nate (Jillian) Kren; and great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Tanner, Jonah, McKinley and Brady.
Celia served in U.S. Navy WAVES during WWII and was employed by Marshall Field's in Joliet for 22 years. She was a die-hard Cubs fan and treasured her books, flowers and loved old movies. The family would like to thank home health nurse, Laurie, for her care, compassion and dedication. "Her" feline companion, Jordan, will miss her greatly.
Memorials in her name to St. Mary Nativity School or the Naperville Humane Society would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Celia's life will begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 with a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
