Celia Rose (Salazar) Carlson "Sally"

Celia Rose Carlson “Sally” (nee Salazar), age 88, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Sally is survived by her loving children, Bruce (Caroll) Carlson, Sharon (Norbert) Panek, Donald (Nancy) Carlson, Steven (Tracy) Carlson, Mark (Victoria) Carlson, and Dawn Carlson; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jesse (Betty) Salazar; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Carlson; sons, George and Brian Carlson; parents, Joseph and Marie Salazar; sisters, Theresa (Benito) Rosales and Pearl (Manuel) Porrez.
Sally was an extremely devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passion in life was to be there for her family. She had the best sense of humor and always made sure everyone around her was laughing and eating. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
A Celebration of Sally’s life will begin on Saturday, February 25, 2017 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at church. Per Sally’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
