Born on January 16, 1913 and born into eternal life on Sunday, May 4, 2008 with her family by her side. Daughter of the late Albert and Blanche (nee Hubert) Lemrise.
Survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Paul F. Seymour; children, Pauline (Joe) Mikuska, Robert (Ann), Alphe (Pat) and Arthur (Maryann) Seymour; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Aubert (Cecile) and Paul (Dolores) Lemrise; and sister, Therese (Bob) (nee Lemrise) Plenner.
Preceded in death by sisters, Aline (Ralph) Goyette and Blanche (Bud) Colton; brothers, Albert I. (in infancy), Marcel (Helen), Ernest (Bernice) (Betty), Hubert (Therese), Rev. Arthur C.S.V., Amie Sr. (Bibiane), Albert II and Rev. John C.M.F. Lemrise.
Cecile was formerly of Fisherman's Landing in Jupiter, FL where she volunteered (Pink Lady) at a nursing home and has resided in Joliet since May of 2003. Her gift of motivating and nurturing children inspired her daughter Pauline to start Educare Daycare. Cecile also used her great letter writing skills to write to many including prisoners, giving them the gift of hope.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Cecile's name to the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary African Orphanage would be appreciated.
From where services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 9:30 AM to Holy Family Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-9 PM.
