At rest Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Peter Wisniewski. Loving mother of Gertrude A. (Richard) McDowell, Constance (late Kelly R. Blankenship) Kohl, Carole (Charles) Delehanty. Dearest grandmother of Richard (Ardean), Russell (Beth), Robby (Jennifer) McDowell, Rhonda (Brian) Arnold, Danielle and Aditra Kohl, Kimberly (Dwayne) Killian, Christine (Greg) Offerman. Special friend Marty and Ellen Pavelek, one brother Joseph (Barb) Kociuba, sister-in-law, Ida (late Stanley) Kociuba, brother-in-law, Ray (late Judy) Derlinga, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by her parents, Andrew and Anna (nee Zarnowski) Kociuba; two sisters, Josephine (Ray) Schultz, Judy Derlinga; one brother, Stanley Kociuba, son-in-law, Kelly R. Blankenship. Catherine was the first born child in the U.S. She worked at Gerlach-Barklow, Joliet Twp High School and retired from Jemco. She served as the President for the Ohio A.C. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Her last 30 years were spent, half in Acapulco and half in Hawaii. At Catherine's request her ashes will be sprinkled on the beaches of Hawaii.
