Age 83. Passed away peacefully on Sunday March 18, 2012 at her late residence with her family by her side.
Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, August A. Tomac; her loving children, Marilyn C. Strle, August L. (Karen) Tomac; 2 granchildren; Michelle (Jeff) Maliska and Jennifer (Dwayne) Marcum, 5 great-grandchildren; Holly and Jeffrey Maliska, Joelle, Bethany, and Alec Marcum. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Josephine Pirc and Barbara Vercellino.
Catherine was born in Joliet and was a lifelong Crest Hill area resident. She was employed by Joliet Pattern Works, and retired in 1997 from Dow Chemical. Catherine was also a Senior Tutor at Chaney-Monge School. She will be dearly missed by her beloved cats, Fluffy and Twinkie.

Funeral services for Catherine M. Tomac will be held Tuesday March 20, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Anne Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
