At rest on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Survived by her son Patrick B. Thorne and daughter Catherine (Randall) Clemens; grandchildren Patrick A. Thorne; Tonya and Carmen Clemens; one sister Ann (late Bernard) Kozlowski; two brothers John (late Mary) and George Buric. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents George V. and Catherine H. Buric; and grandparents Peter and Anna Rogina. A lifelong resident of Joliet, known to many as Ma, she is also survived and will be deeply missed by her many wonderful friends and loved ones. Retired from Kerr Glass after 35 years of service. A past member of St. Joseph Parish and later became a parishioner of Holy Family upon it"s inception in 1959. She was a long time member of American Slovenian Home and Troy Sportsmen"s Club. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice in Catherine"s name would be greatly appreciated.
A chapel service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph"s Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Monday beginning at 9:30 AM.
