Catherine P. "Kay" Hochevar (nee Tomac)
Age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center.
Survived by her devoted son, Albert R, daughter-in-law Mary Ellen, granddaughter Katherine Elizabeth (Benjamin) Hochevar-Neumeyer, grandson Albert W., brother August Tomac Sr., sister-in-law Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Tomac, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Hochevar; her parents, Ivan and Katica (nee Senffner) Tomac; brothers, Andrew Tomac,Sr. (late Frances), John Tomac (late Cele), Thomas Tomac; and sisters, Mary (late John) Picha, Sophie (late Joseph) Link, Jennie (late Stephen) Rubocki, Stephanie (late Peter) Maryanovich, and sister-in-law Mrs. August Tomac Sr. (Catherine).
Born in Crest Hill (Homewood), Illinois, Kay was a life-long parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church serving many years as the church sacristan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kay's name to St. Mary Nativity Church would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Kay's life will begin on Saturday, May 23, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. Visitation will be on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL.
