Catherine Dolores (Anzelc) Emery

Catherine Dolores Bernice Anzelc Emery, age 89, passed away gracefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Born May 2, 1932 in Rockdale, IL, a resident of Wheaton, IL for 20 years and of Lemont, IL for the last 40 years.

Catherine is survived by her two loving children: Robert (Lynne) Emery and Diane Emery; loving grandchildren: J Ryan Emery and Tyler Anne M Emery; sister: Theresa (the late Peter) Papesh, and godson: Paul Laschiazza. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband: John William (“Jack”) to whom she was married for 61 years; parents: Anton and Anna (nee Gersich) Anzelc; siblings: Anton (Susan) Anzelc, Mary (Martin) Kambic, Anna (Ed) Montgomery, Joseph (Bertha) Sterle, Johanna (John) Gorc, Frances (Matthew) Senffner, John Sterle, Matilda (Steve) Tadey, William (Catherine) Anzelc, John (Mary) Anzelc, Elizabeth (John Burkhardt)(Francis Corp) and Charles (Evelyn) Anzelc.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, March 28th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Catherine’s cremains will be interred with her husband John William at Mount Vernon Cemetery at a future date.
