Catherine T. Cauko

Catherine Chauko of Joliet passed away on Tuesday, after a lengthy illness.
She was the beloved sister of Mary (nee Chauko) Novitski and Josephine (nee Chauko) Clapp; aunt to Joanne (Nee Canko) Bogseth, Joy (nee Clapp) Hibner, Frank Canko, Dave Novitski, Gena (nee Clapp) McCarthy, Ron Cauko and Michael Canko, for all of whom she showed her love and affection and never gave a second thought to bending the rules for a fun time.
A graduate of Joliet Township High school, Catherine was a bookkeeper for many years at Uptown Motors in Kankakee before returning to Joliet where she continued her profession at Bert Adams Pontiac and Leach Lumber. In retirement she remained active and never lost her wit.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Josephine (nee Dojer) Charles and ten siblings including her sister Rose and brothers Ignatius, George, Frank, John, Joseph and Peter.
From where services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8.
