Carolyn L. Minnick

Minnick, Carolyn L. of Rockdale passed away suddenly Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Born August 7, 1943 in Bemidji Minnesota to Victor and Thelma (Ousley) Miller. She retired from ROW in Rockdale after 28 years. Survived by her husband Edward Minnick, Rockdale. Her children Brian (Terry) Shear, Marseilles, Deb (Walter) Kosinski, Minooka and William V. (Jennifer Czernik) Shear, Woodridge. Step children David (Heather) Murphy, Gardner, Joseph (Sarah) Minnick, Gardner and Jessica (Chris) Startz, Georgia. Grandchildren Tyler (Heather Davis) Shear and Rylea Shear, Marseilles, Jacob and Cayman Kosinski, Minooka and William (Lillian) Shear, Joliet, Amanda (Jeremy Sladetz) Shear, Morris and Mikala and Dawson Shear, Morris and their mother Brenda. Step grandchildren Aiden and Audrey Sturba, Georgia. Lucy, Emma and Samantha Minnick, Gardner and Jack, Sydney, Jeremy, Cable and Savannah Minnick. Her sisters Elaine (Bob) Ellenson, Gerry (Eddie) Pierce and Evie Mertens. Her brothers Mike (Bonnie) Miller and Ron (Jean) Miller all of Minnesota. Her Mother-In-Law Alice Minnick and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her parents, Victor and Thelma, the father of her children James E. Shear, nephew Michael Miller, father-in-law Calvin Minnick Sr. and brothers-in-law Swede Mertens and Mark Minnick. A memorial service will be held Sunday October 28th , 2012 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, Illinois from 2-7 p.m.
