Caroline F. Stefka (nee Stukel)

Age 101. The Lord called her home on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Meadowbrook Manor in Bolingbrook, IL. Born on November 15, 1906 in Joliet, IL.

Caroline is survived by her loving family two sons Gerald (late Mary) Stefka of Homer Glen and David (Janice) Stefka of Joliet; three grandchildren Michael (Joan) Stefka of New Lenox and Karen (Greg) Wiegmann of Minooka and Lori (Bill) Nelson of Lockport; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law Irene Gawron of Bloomingdale. Preceded in death by her husband John Stefka (1986); parents Mathias and Katherine (Jelenich) Stukel; three brothers Anton, John, Joseph and Matthew Stukel; six sisters Katherine Mantel, Mary (Mayme) Bluemel, Ann Judnick, Angela Thayer, Theresa Cremer and Frances Stukel.

Caroline was a Member of St. John"s Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Joliet and Crest Hill.

From where services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. John Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-7 PM.
