Age 61. Our Angel in heaven taken from us suddenly Tuesday May 8, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet with her loving family by her side.
Survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Thomas R. Simpson Sr.; 2 daughters, Ronda Toepper, and Danielle (Dan) Bryant; 3 grandchildren, Cade Blackburn, and Sofia and Scarlett Bryant; her parents, Joseph and Sophie (nee Zinovich) Mitros; a sister, Roseann (George) Vanik, and a brother, Carl A�??L.B.A�?i�� (Darrin Lump) Mitros.
Carol was born in Chicago and has resided in the Joliet area for most of her life. She was a graduate of Lockport West High School. Carol retired in 2011 from the Joliet Park District Wedgewood Golf Course as their Food Service Manager. Her greatest enjoyment in life was being close to her loving family. Carol was a wonderful wife, mother and dear friend; she will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, contribution to the Disabled American Veterans, in her name would be appreciated.
A celebration service for Carol A. Simpson will be held Saturday May 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday evening from 3-7 p.m.
