Carlos Diaz Martinez

Age 75 of Crest Hill, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Amita Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born November 1, 1944 in Mexico, Carlos was a son of Alfonzo and Benancia (Martinez) Diaz. Carlos worked in construction as a laborer until retirement. He enjoyed taking walks and being outdoors. Carlos looked forward to holidays, spending time with family at various parties and throwing bean bags. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his children: Florinda, Juan, Carlos, Daniel, Alma, Guadalupe Lopez and Marci; son-in-law: Kenneth Lopez and numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Juana Lopez Alvarez.

Per Carlos’ wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

Family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing practices are required inside the funeral home and a capacity of 50 guests will be allowed in at a time.
