Capt. Walter ""Dusty"" Miller

Age 95. At rest Thursday June 29, 2006 at Rosewood Care Center in Joliet. Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary A. (nee Papesh) Miller. Loving Father of; Diana (Robert) Buldak, Josephine (Richard) Snyder, and Mary Ann Miller, Dearest grandfather of nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, and a sister Addie (late Dean) Meyer of Greenfield, IL. Preceded in death by; his parents, Oscar and Grace (nee Miller) Miller, and two sisters, Mary Ellen (Ralph) Reynolds, and Dorothy (Durward) Van Bebber, and a brother Eugene Bowen (WW2). Walter was born in Loami, IL and has resided in the Joliet area for the past 60 years. He was employed as a Captain for A.L. Mechling Barge Line for 9 years, and retired in 1971 as a Captain for the Ohio River Co. after 25 years of service. He was a member of the American Maritime Officer's Union.
