Camille J. (Rogel) Vallrugo
December 14, 1937 — July 23, 2017
Camille J. Vallrugo (nee Rogel) of Joliet, born December 14, 1937, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2017 with her family at her side.
Camille is survived by the great love of her life and husband of 58 years, John H. Vallrugo. Loving mother of three children, Lt. Col. (ret) John M. (Dawn) Vallrugo of Dallas, GA., Susan K. (Jim) Schloderback of Naperville, IL., and David A. (Beth) Vallrugo of New Lenox, IL.; proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan and Peter Vallrugo, Brittany and Andrew Schloderback, Nicholas Vallrugo, Renee (Mike) May of Dallas, TX., and Kevin Vallrugo; sister of Robert L. (Rose Mary) Rogel, Kathleen Wheeler and Dennis (Shirley) Rogel; numerous cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, Frank L. and Johanna C. (nee Papesh) Rogel.
Camille graduated St. Joseph Grade School, St. Francis Catholic Academy, and IBM Technical Training. She worked at the Will County Courthouse for 23 years and served as the Clerk of Jury Commissions (known as Mrs. Smith) until 1996. She was a past member of the New Lenox Garden Club, Will County Homemakers Assoc., KSKJ, and St. Joseph Senior Club. She volunteered at Shepherd’s Table and Meals-on-Wheels and belonged to several Euchre clubs (Elks Lodge #296, New Lenox American Legion and Croatian Cultural Club).

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church (416 N. Chicago St., Joliet) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet). A celebration of Camille’s life will begin on Thursday, July 27, 2017 with a prayer service in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. following Camille will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
