Burrel H. Elmore

Burrel H. Elmore, Sr., age 81, of Joliet, passed away at home on August 6, 2013. He is survived by his children, Sylvia (John) Diekman, David Elmore, Robert Elmore, Laura (Don) Vickery, Diana (Martin) Sexton, Burrel (Kerri) Elmore, Jr. and Tracy Waddell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his brother, Junius (Genene) Elmore of Cheyenne, WY.
Preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Elmore (nee Corbeil); parents, Bulah and Junius Elmore and his brother, William (Jessica) Elmore.
Burrel was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and he retired from General Motors in 1992. He was also co-founder of Dave's Bikes Etc.
In lieu of flowers, donations for mass intentions at St. Ambrose in memory of Burrel H. Elmore, Sr. would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Burrel's life will begin on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then moving in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Hadley Cemetery, Marley, IL. Visitation will be Friday, August 9 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet.
