Bruce Williquette of Joliet, age 72, passed away after an extended illness at St. Joseph Hospital on January 28, 2025. Bruce was born in Midlothian, IL on April 23, 1952 to his parents Kenneth Williquette and Thelma Williquette (nee Stephenson).
Bruce was an honorable veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a member of the United States Army. After his time in the service of our country, he became a proud member of the Pipefitter’s Union Local #597. He married Pathana in 2010, and the two enjoyed a number of years together before Bruce’s health began to fail him. Bruce was fond of travelling, fishing, and watching his favorite TV show NCIS. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others when needed. He donated his time and expertise to assist with projects at the Midlothian Catholic Church, as well as helping out neighbors and friends alike.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Brian and Kenneth Williquette, and his uncle John (Jean) Stephenson.
He is survived by his wife of nearly fifteen years Pathana Williquette, his son Jason Williquette, his brother William Williquette, his beloved niece Maggie Williquette, and his dear cousins Penny, Linda, and Dawn.
As Bruce had directed, cremation rites will be accorded and his earthly remains will be held safely in the custody of his loving wife Pathana.
